ITINERARY

Day 1: Wednesday - June 1st

​

  • (Depending on exact time of arrival)

  • Arrival on Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv

  • Transfer to Tel Aviv

  • Welcome dinner at a restaurant in Jaffa

  • Overnight in Tel Aviv/NetanyaDay

 

Day 2: Thursday - June 2nd

 

  • Visit historic Caesarea Maritima, the Roman Capital of Judea, where Peter followed God's leading to visit Cornelius (Acts 10) and where he proclaimed the gospel to the Romans (Acts 24-26).

  • Visit Mount Precipice, the traditional site of the cliff from which an angry mob attempted to throw Jesus after His bold proclamation in the Nazareth synagogue

  • A visit to Nazareth Village, a hands-on experiences that transports guests to life on a Jewish village in Galilee two thousand years ago.

  • Board a wooden sailing boat, fashioned after the ancient fishing vessels, for a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee.

  • Dinner at the hotel

  • Overnight in Galilee

 

Day 3: Friday – June 3rd

 

  • Visit to Banias, the site of ancient Caesarea Philippi on the feet of Mount Hermon, where Jesus demanded to know of his disciples who people were saying he was (Matthew 16:13).

  • Visit the Mount of Beatitudes, the place where Jesus delivered the famous Sermon on the Mount.

  • Visit Magdala, an ancient village, where Jesus‘s follower Mary Magdalene lived

  • Baptism in the Jordan River: “Then Jesus came from Galilee down to the Jordan to be baptized” (Matthew 3:13).

  • Dinner at the hotel

  • Overnight in Galilee

 

Day 4: Saturday - June 4th

 

  • Check-out

  • Journey to Capernaum (John 6:24) to visit the first century synagogue where Jesus preached and healed the epileptic boy (Matt. 4:13-17, Mark 9:14-29).

  • Visit to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. A fascinating look into the Jewish world in Jesus time offering a framework to understand Jesus’s message and the practices of the early church

  • Ein Gedi

  • Swim and float in the Dead Sea, bathing yourself in the mineral rich water and mud

  • Dinner in the hotel

  • Overnight in Jerusalem

 

Day 5: Sunday - June 5th

 â€‹

  • Visit to the Shrine of the Book in the Israel Museum, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest Biblical manuscripts in the world, as well as rare early medieval biblical manuscripts. Next to it the Model of Jerusalem in Jesus’s time, which reconstructs the city as it was prior to its destruction by the Romans in 66 CE

  • An introduction to Yad Vashem, Israel’s main Holocaust remembrance and education center. Visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Center including the Avenue of the Righteous and the Children’s Memorial

  • Visit the Davidson Center with excavations of the Herodian Temple, as it stood prior to its destruction by Roman troops in the year 70 AD. See the Hulda Steps and Gates, which used to be the main entrance to the Holy Temple, through which Jesus entered the Temple Mount.

  • Dinner at the hotel

  • Overnight in Jerusalem

 

Day 6: Monday - June 6th

 

  • And the glory of the Lord went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city" (Ezekiel 11:23). Drive to the tip of the Mount of Olives, known as the site from where Jesus ascended to heaven after His resurrection. Panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem from Mount of Olives and descend the “Palm Sunday Road” to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed on the night of His betrayal.

  • Visit the scenes of Jesus' prayer to His Father in the Garden of Gethsemane

  • St. Anne’s Church

  • Pool of Bethesda

  • Via Dolorosa

  • Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, built on the site where the crucifixion of Jesus on Golgotha is marked.

  • Dinner at the hotel

  • Overnight in Jerusalem

 

Day 7: Tuesday – June 7th

 

  • Bethlehem visit

  • Walk through the Biblical City of David, the very roots of Jerusalem, where archeology confirms the Bible.

  • Pool of Siloam

  • After twenty years of digging and despite enormous difficulties, the Western Wall Tunnels were excavated. The project unearthed many archeological finds which can only be described as remarkable

  • Dinner at the hotel

  • Overnight in Jerusalem

 

Day 8: Wednesday – June 8th

 â€‹

  • Upper room

  • Visit the Herodian Mansion, the house of a very wealthy first century Jewish leader which was destroyed in Titus' fire in 70AD. Probably the house of the High Priest's as described in the Biblical account of Jesus' trail. A large multi storied house, with a large meeting room that could have held court. The room is adjacent to a large courtyard where someone might warm themselves by a fire and observe what was going on at the trial.

  • Tour the excavation of the Palace of Herod’s the Great, later used as the Palace of Pontius Pilate and the more authentic site the Praetorium and the verdict of Jesus.

  • Visit the Garden Tomb (Gordon’s Calvary). This ancient cemetery is a moving site in which to recall the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. Spend time in these peaceful garden surroundings in prayer, song and fellowship

  • Farewell dinner in the Judean Desert

  • Overnight in Jerusalem

Day 9: Thursday – June 9th

  • Visit the Elah Valley, also called the valley of the Terebinth, the place were David fought withGoliath

  • Transfer to the airport

  • Departure
